Sebastopol Gallery Permanent Member!
I have not been so good about uploading paintings to this website. I am so sorry dear reader! It is just quite a bit to keep everything flowing on instagram and facebook (where I post new work to both my friend anyone place at Sharon Eisley Art and my friend people I actually know and trust to look at pictures of my kids at Sharon Eisley). Sooooo...I have been remiss! Also- I need a better site BUT I would always rather paint. So there's that. Meanwhile- some updating: I have been accepted as a member at an awesome co-op gallery called Sebastopol Gallery here in Northern CA. in...Sebastopol. After March 31st my art will ALWAYS be there. Every 2 years I will be featured artist- so subscribe and Ill send you a postcard or email when that comes about. And of course a few works of my art will also always be up at award winning Valkarie gallery in Denver, CO. in the members gallery with a solo show every September. I've been selling quite well and working on commissions but always there is art in my studio through spring and Summer and now it can hang out (literally) at Sebastopol Gallery. This painting is "In the Image of the Maker" "In the Image of the Maker" 11.25" x 23.25"tall oil on stained and carved wood in upcycled frame. In ancient Jewish images people were depicted with bird heads. Was this so not to create an icon? of course the Egyptians happily topped their gods with animal heads. At any rate I had the idea for this picture years ago. It is still available as of 2021 March. And below is Metamorphosis. 34" wide. Already sold- sorry! I do plan to do more in a series of metamorphosis, as it is one of my favorite themes.
