I find myself having many a dialog with this painting as the figure emerges from the storm, her heart pierced with sorrow, her tears the rain over a vast turbulent sea
the energy that we put into material 'things'. It is the four corners of the castle we sometimes lock ourselves into.
all the while my studio calls to me. I feel a physical pull on my soul. Like an addiction? Like being turned on? How can I describe it? And there are hummingbirds playing in the rain outside my window, as I sit on the couch typing, cozy, the heater on. My studio is a mess
